What's going on everyone! I've noticed some people in here talking about influencers and what the system behind it is. Influencers can be great for first starting with eCommerce.

-
Instagram has been one of my top traffic sources for eCommerce for over 1 year now. Over the past 365 days, i've been able to build of a following of over 600k across multiple accounts and generate 6 figures with influencer traffic.

My first ever thousand dollar days came from influencer marketing off $50 shoutouts. I poured a lot of that money back into testing and growing.

Instagram, right now, is a BEAST. It's powerful and you can make a lot of money with it if you play your cards right. It's surely something you don't want to miss!
-
All it takes is a couple influencers in your pocket to get you to at least $10,000-$20,000+ per month in store revenue.

Heck, $5,000+ per month in PROFIT.

If you don't have a lot of money to start with eCommerce, Instagram influencers are perfect for giving you that initial boost of cash-flow you need to start testing more and even play with FB ads.

I want to share some tips from personal experience that I've learned along the way that may help you out and speed up the process.

✅ When setting up shop and looking for influencers, don't go broad in terms of niche. You want to pick a niche, and dig deeper. For instance, if you have a pet store - you don't want to promote on just animal pages. Dig deeper until you find your passionate audience. If it's a dog store, look for Golden Retriever or Husky pages. Followers of those pages most likely OWN a dog and will see the value in your product.

If you have a phone case store, don't promote just random pattern phone cases. DIG deeper. Locate your passion audience. For example, a cat lover case. Or a Harry Potter case. Passion, passion, passion ($$$).

✅ Build your influencer Rolodex. This is HUGE if you want to stay profitable day by day. When you're first getting starting, test a lot of pages and make note of the good ones that have a solid audience. The ones that print you money. Put those pages in your back pocket because you'll be using them again and again!

✅ Stop doing what everyone else doing. I think this was honestly what separates those doing $10k a month and those doing $100k a month. To survive in this industry now, you have to do things differently.

A lot followers on Instagram are used to seeing the same things promoted. If you've validated your product and you know it's a winner, order and ship it to yourself and get your own photos for promos. I did this with a product that a lot of people said was "saturated" and it was basically revived overnight.

A lot of people fail with influencer marketing because they don't realize what it actually takes to make it work.

✅ When searching for influencers, a lot of pages use what are known as "engagement groups", which is basically inflated engagement. These larger pages are in groups that help each other grow. When one of the pages puts out a new post, everyone in that group has to go like the post and comment. The more likes / comments, the better chance it has of getting to the explore page. Once on the explore page, it's seen by thousands of people who then like and comment on the photo.

Here's the catch: when on the explore page, a lot of these people liking and commenting don't even follow the page itself! That make sense? It's artificial engagement on the posts that can be deceiving.

One way to not be deceived is by opening up the comments on an influencers photos. See if the comm-enters are actually following the influencer! If a lot of them are, it's probably a loyal and engaged audience.

Another way to look for ORGANIC engagement is just by seeing how many likes a photo gets when it's immediately put out. If it's super small (400 likes in 5 minutes on a million follower page), that influencer is most likely a dud. Move on.

✅ Always request audience demographics. It's very easy to get engagement on posts in countries like India, but generally you're not going to want the followers in that country.

✅ The point of influencer marketing is to NOT look like an ad. A lot of people go wrong here. Realize that you need to write your ad copy and design your image in a way that makes it look like a personal recommendation by the influencer!
